Little Chocolate Treats

Miss 7's (turning 7) birthday is this weekend and when it's your birthday at school you get to bring in little treats for your class pals. So tonight we made these really cute and very easy little chocolate treats. As food allergies are quiet common I find it easier to just work with chocolate when I'm sending treats to school.

I had these heart shaped moulds that I picked up super cheap in Euro Giant last Valentine's Day. We started by placing chocolate smarties into each mould and then melted a bar of milk chocolate and half a bar of white chocolate.

We added one tsp of milk chocolate and 1/2 tsp of white chocolate into each heart....and then came the fun part.....

......the swirling!!!. I gave the girls a cocktail stick each and they very slowly swirled the two chocolates together.

Disneyland Paris

We are back from an amazing 4 days in Disneyland Paris.

From the moment we arrived it felt like there was magic in the air.

We stayed in the Hotel Sante Fe and it was perfect for our needs. We really only used it to shower and sleep. We left our room at 8am and we were not back until at least 10pm at night. The room was clean and comfortable and they staff were very friendly.....maybe if you plan to spend more time in your hotel you might want to choose one of the other ones as this one doesn't have a pool and it is basic but it had everything we needed and was only a 10 minute walk to the Disney Village.

We had so much fun and made some amazing memories. As you know our children are young so we didn't go on some of the "scary" rides! But there was still so many things for us to do and actually one of the best things was the whole family (including babyboy) could enjoy most of the attractions.

Our top 5 things to do (in no particular order)

Disney Nails

I know this might be a bit OTT but I thought I'd really get in the mood and get Disney themed nails.
These are gel nails with false tips! (I only wish my real nails where this strong and long). I love gel nails, I had them on for 3 years and got them taken off just before Babyboy was born....so this is my first time having them in almost a year and a half and I love having them back.

So I looked up a few ideas on Pinterest (where else???) and mixed and matched a few, then off I went to my local nail bar! The colours she used are actually shellac (and silly me forgot to ask her what colours they were) too much chatting!

The closest colours I could find are lobster roll for the red and powder my nose for the nude colour on my ring fingers.

I love them....I mean who wouldn't love Minnie (and Mickey) Mouse Nails!!!!

(don't mind the essie collection box I'm holding - this was just a prop in my first ever nail modelling shoot and these were not the colours used)

Packing for Disneyland Paris - Part 1 - Children's Clothes

The packing for Disneyland Paris has begun....and as I usually find packing for all five of us a bit stressful, I started early and thought I'd share some of what I'm packing for this trip. So here is what I'm packing for the children

Starting with Miss 4:

We will be in DLP for 4 days so I packed 4 full outfits per child.
From left to right;
1. Minnie Mouse sweatshirt & Red Bow from H&M with Next skinny jeans
2. Princess Sofia sequin top from H&M with dark pink leggings (these were part of a two part Xmas gift from George ASDA, I think)
3. The only non-Disney outfit: a stripey knitted jumper from Boots and pale blue leggings from Tesco
4. Had to pack a Disney dress up outfit (Miss 4 wanted to bring 4!!!) so we decided on a Princess Sofia dress....with a purple polo neck top and wool tights for warmth
The key here really is comfort and warmth and one full outfit per day

For Baby Boy:
