Disneyland Paris

We are back from an amazing 4 days in Disneyland Paris.

From the moment we arrived it felt like there was magic in the air.

We stayed in the Hotel Sante Fe and it was perfect for our needs. We really only used it to shower and sleep. We left our room at 8am and we were not back until at least 10pm at night. The room was clean and comfortable and they staff were very friendly.....maybe if you plan to spend more time in your hotel you might want to choose one of the other ones as this one doesn't have a pool and it is basic but it had everything we needed and was only a 10 minute walk to the Disney Village.

We had so much fun and made some amazing memories. As you know our children are young so we didn't go on some of the "scary" rides! But there was still so many things for us to do and actually one of the best things was the whole family (including babyboy) could enjoy most of the attractions.

Our top 5 things to do (in no particular order)

1. The Rides: Our faves were, the Mad Hatters Teacups, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, It's a small world and Peter Pan's Flight
2. The Rainforest Cafe: This is in the Disney Village and the kids loved to eat here.....(we had to go back a second time) the food was good (all the food is the same there to be honest.....burgers and chips) but it was the friendly service, and the setting which was great. The children especially loved the tropical storm in the middle of dinner.
3. Meeting Characters: The girls had autograph books so we spent alot of time on the hunt for characters to get a picture and an autograph. I have to say we met two princesses (two separate occasions of queueing for 1 1/2 hours in the Princess Pavilion) and I even felt like I had met the real Snow White and Cinderella! We had breakfast at Cafe Mickey where we met Mickey Mouse and Friends, this was an easier (and warmer) way to met them.We also got some more autographs around the park and in Disney Studios so the girls were very happy with their collection. We added photos to the books when we got home and now they have a really lovely souvenir.
4. Shopping for Disney Merchandise: As you can imagine you can't turn a corner without an opportunity to buy something Disney. The girls loved all the Disney Princess Shops and made a few purchases. The "dress-up dresses" are on the expensive side but the quality is fantastic and in my opinion worth they money.
5. The Parade and Disney Dreams Show: These were a big hit! The parade was great and it's the only way to see Elsa and Anna from Frozen so the girls were delighted. I LOVED the Disney Dreams Show (fireworks and lasers light up Sleeping Beauty's Castle at night to a Disney Soundtrack) I have to say I was so moved every time I saw this show I cried. It is worth the standing around in the cold waiting!!!
